Year-round tropical sunshine (28–31°C). Peak surf season is May to October. Glassy calm lagoon waters from December to April.
Local customs & dress code
Bikinis and swimwear are permitted on the dedicated Bikini Beach. When walking in residential village streets, modest clothing (covering shoulders and knees) is respectfully appreciated.
Money, ATMs & payments
US Dollars and Maldivian Rufiyaa (MVR) are widely accepted. Guesthouses and dive centers accept credit cards. Bank of Maldives ATM is available on the island.
